Deuteronomy 1:28

28Where are we going up? aOur brothers have made our hearts melt, saying, b“The people are greater and taller than we. The cities are great and fortified up to heaven. And besides, we have seen cthe sons of the Anakim there.”’

Deuteronomy 20:8

8And the officers shall speak further to the people, and say, dIs there any man who is fearful and fainthearted? Let him go back to his house, lest he make the heart of his fellows melt like his own.’

Joshua 5:1

The New Generation Circumcised

1As soon as all the kings of the Amorites who were beyond the Jordan to the west, and all the kings of the Canaanites ewho were by the sea, fheard that the Lord had dried up the waters of the Jordan for the people of Israel until they had crossed over, their hearts gmelted and hthere was no longer any spirit in them because of the people of Israel.

for slaughter.

Nahum 2:10
