Joshua 7:12

That is, set apart ( devoted) as an offering to the Lord (for destruction)

1 O God, we have heard with our ears,
jour fathers have told us,
what deeds you performed in their days,
kin the days of old:
2you with your own hand ldrove out the nations,
but mthem you planted;
you afflicted the peoples,
but nthem you set free;
3for not oby their own sword did they win the land,
nor did their own arm save them,
but your right hand and your arm,
and pthe light of your face,
qfor you delighted in them.
4 rYou are my King, O God;
sordain salvation for Jacob!
5Through you we tpush down our foes;
through your name we utread down those who rise up against us.
6For not in vmy bow do I trust,
nor can my sword save me.
7But you have saved us from our foes
and have wput to shame those who hate us.
8 xIn God we have boasted continually,
and we will give thanks to your name forever.  Selah
9 But you have yrejected us and disgraced us
and zhave not gone out with our armies.
10You have made us aaturn back from the foe,
and those who hate us have gotten spoil.
11You have made us like absheep for slaughter
and have acscattered us among the nations.
