Deuteronomy 12:2
2 aYou shall surely destroy all the places where the nations whom you shall dispossess served their gods, bon the high mountains and on the hills and under every green tree.1 Kings 12:32

Isaiah 57:5-7
5you who burn with lust among ithe oaks, ▼▼Or among the terebinths
under every green tree,
kwho slaughter your children in the valleys,
under the clefts of the rocks?
6Among the smooth stones of lthe valley is your portion;
they, they, are your lot;
to them you have poured out a drink offering,
you have brought a grain offering.
Shall I relent for these things?
7 mOn a high and lofty mountain
you have set your bed,
and there you went up to offer sacrifice.

Faithless Israel Called to Repentance

to any passerby and multiplying your whoring. Ezekiel 16:31
31building your vaulted chamber at the head of every street, and making your lofty place in every square. Yet you were not like a prostitute, vbecause you scorned payment.
