Deuteronomy 12:30-31

30take care athat you be not ensnared to follow them, after they have been destroyed before you, and that you do not inquire about their gods, saying, ‘How did these nations serve their gods?—that I also may do the same.’ 31 bYou shall not worship the Lord your God in that way, for every cabominable thing that the Lord hates they have done for their gods, for dthey even burn their sons and their daughters in the fire to their gods.

2 Kings 17:8

8 eand walked in the customs of the nations whom the Lord drove out before the people of Israel, fand in the customs that the kings of Israel had practiced.

2 Kings 17:11-12

11and there they made offerings on all the high places, as the nations did whom the Lord carried away before them. And they did wicked things, provoking the Lord to anger, 12and they served idols, gof which the Lord had said to them, “You shall not do this.”

2 Chronicles 33:2

2And he did what was evil in the sight of the Lord, according to hthe abominations of the nations whom the Lord drove out before the people of Israel.

2 Chronicles 33:9

9Manasseh led Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem astray, to do more evil than the nations whom the Lord destroyed before the people of Israel.
