Deuteronomy 12:7

7And athere you shall eat before the Lord your God, and byou shall rejoice, you and your households, in all that you undertake, in which the Lord your God has blessed you.

Deuteronomy 14:26-27

26and spend the money for whatever you desireoxen or sheep or wine or strong drink, whatever your appetite craves. And cyou shall eat there before the Lord your God and rejoice, you and your household. 27And you shall not neglect dthe Levite who is within your towns, for ehe has no portion or inheritance with you.

So they kept it for another seven days with gladness. 24For Hezekiah king of Judah kgave the assembly 1,000 bulls and 7,000 sheep for offerings, and the princes gave the assembly 1,000 bulls and 10,000 sheep. And the priests lconsecrated themselves in great numbers. 25The whole assembly of Judah, and the priests and the Levites, mand the whole assembly that came out of Israel, and the sojourners who came out of the land of Israel, and the sojourners who lived in Judah, rejoiced. 26So there was great joy in Jerusalem, for nsince the time of Solomon the son of David king of Israel there had been nothing like this in Jerusalem.

Nehemiah 8:10-12

10Then he said to them, “Go your way. Eat the fat and drink sweet wine and osend portions to anyone who has nothing ready, for this day is holy to our Lord. And do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” 11So the Levites calmed all the people, saying, “Be quiet, for this day is holy; do not be grieved.” 12And all the people went their way to eat and drink and to send portions and to make great rejoicing, because pthey had understood the words that were declared to them.
