Deuteronomy 13:1-3
1“If a prophet or aa dreamer of dreams arises among you and gives you a sign or a wonder, 2and bthe sign or wonder that he tells you comes to pass, and if he says, ‘Let us go after other gods,’ which you have not known, ‘and let us serve them,’ 3you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams. For the Lord your God cis testing you, to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.Deuteronomy 13:5
5But dthat prophet or that dreamer of dreams shall be put to death, because he has taught rebellion against the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you out of the house of slavery, to make you leave the way in which the Lord your God commanded you to walk. eSo you shall purge the evil ▼▼Or evil person

The Second Beast
11Then jI saw another beast rising out of the earth. It had two horns like a lamb and it spoke like a dragon. 12It exercises all the authority of the first beast in its presence, ▼▼Or on its behalf
and makes the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, lwhose mortal wound was healed. 13 mIt performs great signs, even nmaking fire come down from heaven to earth in front of people, 14and by the signs that it is allowed to work in the presence of ▼▼Or on behalf of
the beast pit deceives those who dwell on earth, telling them to make an image for the beast qthat was wounded by the sword and yet lived. 15And it was allowed to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast might even speak and might cause those who would not rworship the image of the beast sto be slain. Revelation of John 19:20
20And the beast was captured, and with it tthe false prophet uwho in its presence ▼▼Or on its behalf
had done the signs by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who wworshiped its image. These two were xthrown alive into the lake of yfire that burns with sulfur.
