6 ^a“If your brother, the son of your mother, or your son or your daughter or ^bthe wife you embrace ^{▼▼Hebrew the wife of your bosom} or your friend ^dwho is as your own soul entices you secretly, saying, ‘Let us go and serve other gods,’ ^ewhich neither you nor your fathers have known, 7 some ^fof the gods of the peoples who are around you, whether near you or far off from you, from the one end of the earth to the other, 8 you shall ^gnot yield to him or listen to him, nor ^hshall your eye pity him, nor shall you spare him, nor shall you conceal him.

Matthew 5:29-30

29 ⁱIf your right eye ^jcauses you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into ^khell. 30 ^lAnd if your right hand ^mcauses you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body go into ⁿhell.

Matthew 14:3-4

Mark 9:43-48

43 ^sAnd if your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life lame than with two feet to be thrown into ^yhell. 47 ^zAnd if your eye causes you to sin, tear it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than with two eyes to be thrown into ^aahell, 48 ‘where ^abtheir worm does not die and the fire is not quenched.’

Luke 14:26-27

Luke 14:33
