Deuteronomy 14:15-18

15the ostrich, the nighthawk, the sea gull, the hawk of any kind; 16the little owl and the short-eared owl, the barn owl 17and the tawny owl, the carrion vulture and the cormorant, 18the stork, the heron of any kind; the hoopoe and the bat.

Psalms 102:6

6I am like aa desert owl of the wilderness,
like an owl
The precise identity of these birds is uncertain
of the waste places;

Isaiah 13:21-22

21But cwild animals will lie down there,
and their houses will be full of howling creatures;
there dostriches
Or owls
will dwell,
and there wild goats will dance.
22Hyenas
Or foxes
will cry in its towers,
and gjackals in hthe pleasant palaces;
its time is close at hand
and its days will not be prolonged.

Isaiah 34:11-15

11 iBut the hawk and the porcupine
The identity of the animals rendered  hawk and  porcupine is uncertain
shall possess it,
the owl and the raven shall dwell in it.
kHe shall stretch the line of lconfusion
Hebrew formlessness
over it,
and the plumb line of emptiness.
12Its nobles—there is no one there to call it a kingdom,
and all its princes shall be nothing.
13 nThorns shall grow over its strongholds,
nettles and thistles in its fortresses.
It shall be the haunt of ojackals,
an abode for ostriches.
Or owls

14 qAnd wild animals shall meet with hyenas;
the wild goat shall cry to his fellow;
indeed, there the night bird
Identity uncertain
settles
and finds for herself a resting place.
15 There the owl nests and lays
and hatches and gathers her young in her shadow;
indeed, there sthe hawks are gathered,
each one with her mate.

John 3:19-21

19 tAnd this is the judgment: uthe light has come into the world, and vpeople loved the darkness rather than the light because wtheir works were evil. 20 xFor everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, ylest his works should be exposed. 21But whoever zdoes what is true aacomes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.”
