Deuteronomy 14:24-26

24And if the way is too long for you, so that you are not able to carry the tithe, when the Lord your God blesses you, because athe place is too far from you, which the Lord your God chooses, to set his name there, 25then you shall turn it into money and bind up the money in your hand and go to the place that the Lord your God chooses 26and spend the money for whatever you desireoxen or sheep or wine or strong drink, whatever your appetite craves. And byou shall eat there before the Lord your God and rejoice, you and your household.

Ezra 6:9-10

9And whatever is neededbulls, rams, or sheep for burnt offerings to the God of heaven, wheat, salt, wine, or oil, as the priests at Jerusalem require—let that be given to them day by day without fail, 10that they may offer pleasing sacrifices to the God of heaven cand pray for the life of the king and his sons.

Jesus Cleanses the Temple

12 dAnd Jesus entered the temple

13He said to them, “It is written, hMy house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but iyou make it a den of robbers.”

John 2:14
