Deuteronomy 14:3-8

3 a“You shall not eat any abomination. 4 bThese are the animals you may eat: the ox, the sheep, the goat, 5the deer, the gazelle, the roebuck, the wild goat, the ibex,

the antelope, and the mountain sheep.
6Every animal that parts the hoof and has the hoof cloven in two and chews the cud, among the animals, you may eat. 7Yet of those that chew the cud or have the hoof cloven you shall not eat these: the camel, the hare, and the drock badger, because they chew the cud but do not part the hoof, are unclean for you. 8And the pig, because it parts the hoof but does not chew the cud, is unclean for you. Their flesh you shall not eat, and etheir carcasses you shall not touch.

Ezekiel 4:14

14Then I said, fAh, Lord God! Behold, I have never defiled myself.
Hebrew my soul (or throat) has never been made unclean
hFrom my youth up till now I have never eaten iwhat died of itself or was torn by beasts, nor has jtainted meat come into my mouth.”

8But Daniel kresolved that he would not ldefile himself with mthe king’s food, or with nthe wine that he drank. Therefore he asked the chief of the eunuchs to allow him not to odefile himself.

Matthew 15:11

11 pit is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a person, but what comes out of the mouth; this defiles a person.”
