Deuteronomy 17:6

6 aOn the evidence of two witnesses or of three witnesses the one who is to die shall be put to death; a person shall not be put to death on the evidence of one witness.

Psalms 50:16-20

16 But to the wicked God says:
What right have you to recite my statutes
or take my covenant on your lips?
17 bFor you hate discipline,
cand you cast my words behind you.
18If you see a thief, dyou are pleased with him,
eand you keep company with adulterers.
19 “You give your mouth free rein for evil,
fand your tongue frames deceit.
20You sit and speak against your brother;
you slander your own mother’s son.

Matthew 7:1-5

Judging Others

1 gJudge not, that you be not judged. 2 hFor with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and iwith the measure you use it will be measured to you. 3Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but jdo not notice the log that is in your own eye? 4Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? 5You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.

Matthew 23:25-28

25 kWoe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For lyou clean the outside of mthe cup and the plate, but inside they are full of ngreed and self-indulgence. 26You blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of othe cup and the plate, that the outside also may be clean.

27 pWoe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like qwhitewashed tombs, which outwardly appear beautiful, but within are full of dead people’s bones and rall uncleanness. 28So you also soutwardly appear righteous to others, but within you are full of thypocrisy and lawlessness.

Romans 2:1-3

God’s Righteous Judgment

1Therefore you have uno excuse, O man, every one of you who judges. For vin passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, practice the very same things. 2We know that the judgment of God rightly falls on those who practice such things. 3Do you suppose, O man—you who judge those who practice such things and yet do them yourselfthat you will escape the judgment of God?

Romans 2:21-25

21 wyou then who teach others, do you not teach yourself? While you preach against stealing, do you steal? 22You who say that one must not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you xrob temples? 23You who yboast in the law zdishonor God by breaking the law. 24For, aaas it is written, “The name of God is blasphemed abamong the Gentiles because of you.”

25For circumcision indeed is of value acif you obey the law, but if you break the law, your circumcision becomes uncircumcision.
