Deuteronomy 17:9-10
9 aAnd you shall come to the Levitical priests and to the judge who is in office in those days, and you shall consult them, and bthey shall declare to you the decision. 10Then you shall do according to what they declare to you from that place that the Lord will choose. And you shall be careful to do according to all that they direct you.Psalms 1:2

Malachi 2:7-8
7For fthe lips of a priest should guard knowledge, and people ▼▼Hebrew they
should seek instruction from his mouth, for he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts. 8But you have turned aside from the way. hYou have caused many to stumble by your instruction. You have corrupted ithe covenant of Levi, says the Lord of hosts, John 7:48-49
48 jHave any of the authorities or the Pharisees believed in him? 49But this crowd that does not know the law is accursed.”
