Deuteronomy 18:20

20 aBut the prophet who presumes to speak a word in my name that I have not commanded him to speak, or

who speaks in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die.’

1 Kings 18:40

40And Elijah said to them, “Seize the prophets of Baal; let not one of them escape.” And they seized them. And Elijah brought them down to cthe brook Kishon and dslaughtered them there.

Isaiah 9:14-15

14So the Lord cut off from Israel ehead and tail,
palm branch and reed in one day
15 fthe elder and honored man is the head,
and gthe prophet who teaches lies is the tail;

Isaiah 28:17-18

17And I will make justice hthe line,
and righteousness ithe plumb line;
and hail will sweep away the refuge of lies,
and waters will overwhelm the shelter.”
18Then jyour covenant with death will be annulled,
and your agreement with Sheol will not stand;
when the overwhelming scourge passes through,
you will be beaten down by it.

Jeremiah 14:15

15Therefore thus says the Lord concerning the prophets who prophesy in my name although kI did not send them, and who say, lSword and famine shall not come upon this land’: mBy sword and famine those prophets shall be consumed.

Jeremiah 28:15-17

15And Jeremiah the prophet said to the prophet Hananiah, “Listen, Hananiah, nthe Lord has not sent you, oand you have made this people trust in a lie. 16Therefore thus says the Lord: ‘Behold, I will remove you from the face of the earth. This year you shall die, pbecause you have uttered rebellion against the Lord.’”

17In that same year, in the seventh month, the prophet Hananiah died.
