A Man Hanged on a Tree Is Cursed

22“And if a man has committed a crime punishable by death and he is put to death, and you hang him on a tree, 23 ahis body shall not remain all night on the tree, but you shall bury him the same day, for ba hanged man is cursed by God. cYou shall not defile your land that the Lord your God is giving you for an inheritance.

2 Samuel 18:9

9And Absalom happened to meet the servants of David. Absalom was riding on his mule, and the mule went under the thick branches of a great oak,

eand his head caught fast in the oak, and he was suspended between heaven and earth, while the mule that was under him went on.
