Deuteronomy 24:19-21

19 a“When you reap your harvest in your field and forget a sheaf in the field, you shall not go back to get it. It shall be for the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow, bthat the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands. 20When you beat your olive trees, you shall not go over them again. It shall be for the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow. 21When you gather the grapes of your vineyard, you shall not strip it afterward. It shall be for the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow.

2 Corinthians 8:5-11

5and this, not as we expected, but they ngave themselves first to the Lord and then by the will of God to us. 6Accordingly, owe urged Titus that as he had started, so he should complete among you pthis act of grace. 7But as qyou excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all earnestness, and in our love for you
Some manuscripts  in your love for us
ssee that you excel in this act of grace also.

8 tI say this not as a command, but to prove by the earnestness of others that your love also is genuine. 9For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that uthough he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich. 10And in this matter vI give my judgment: wthis benefits you, who xa year ago started not only to do this work but also to desire to do it. 11So now finish doing it as well, so that your readiness in desiring it may be matched by your completing it out of what you have.
