This Day Is Holy
9And Nehemiah, who was cthe governor, and Ezra dthe priest and scribe, and the Levites who taught the people said to all the people, e“This day is holy to the Lord your God; fdo not mourn or weep.” For all the people wept as they heard the words of the Law. 10Then he said to them, “Go your way. Eat the fat and drink sweet wine and gsend portions to anyone who has nothing ready, for this day is holy to our Lord. And do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” 11So the Levites calmed all the people, saying, “Be quiet, for this day is holy; do not be grieved.” 12And all the people went their way to eat and drink and to send portions and to make great rejoicing, because hthey had understood the words that were declared to them.Proverbs 15:8

who has required of you
this trampling of my courts?
13Bring no more vain offerings;
incense is an abomination to me.
oNew moon and Sabbath and the pcalling of convocations—
I cannot endure qiniquity and rsolemn assembly.
14Your snew moons and your appointed feasts
my soul hates;
they have become a burden to me;
I am weary of bearing them.
15When you tspread out your hands,
I will hide my eyes from you;
ueven though you make many prayers,
I will not listen;
