Deuteronomy 26:17-18

17 aYou have declared today that the Lord is your God, and that you will walk in his ways, and keep his statutes and his commandments and his rules, and will obey his voice. 18And the Lord has declared today that you are ba people for his treasured possession, as he has promised you, and that you are to keep all his commandments,

Joshua 24:15

15 cAnd if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, dchoose this day whom you will serve, whether ethe gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or fthe gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. gBut as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Joshua 24:18

18And the Lord drove out before us all the peoples, the Amorites who lived in the land. Therefore we also will serve the Lord, for he is our God.”

21And the people said to Joshua, “No, but we will serve the Lord.”

Joshua 24:24-27

24And the people said to Joshua, “The Lord our God we will serve, and his voice we will obey.” 25So Joshua hmade a covenant with the people that day, and put in place istatutes and rules for them at Shechem. 26And Joshua jwrote these words in the Book of the Law of God. And khe took a large stone and set it up there lunder the terebinth that was by the sanctuary of the Lord. 27And Joshua said to all the people, “Behold, mthis stone shall be a witness against us, for nit has heard all the words of the Lord that he spoke to us. Therefore it shall be a witness against you, lest you deal falsely with your God.”

Nehemiah 10:29-39

29join with their brothers, their nobles, oand enter into a curse and an oath pto walk in God’s Law that was given by Moses the servant of God, and to observe and do all the commandments of the Lord our Lord and his rules and his statutes. 30 qWe will not give our daughters to the peoples of the land or take their daughters for our sons. 31 rAnd if the peoples of the land bring in goods or any grain on the Sabbath day to sell, we will not buy from them on the Sabbath or on a holy day. And we will forego the crops of the sseventh year and the texaction of every debt.

32“We also take on ourselves the obligation to give yearly ua third part of a shekel

for the service of the house of our God:
33 wfor the showbread, xthe regular grain offering, ythe regular burnt offering, the Sabbaths, the new moons, the appointed feasts, the holy things, and the sin offerings to make atonement for Israel, and for all the work of the house of our God. 34 zWe, the priests, the Levites, and the people, have likewise cast lots aafor the wood offering, to bring it into the house of our God, according to our fathershouses, at times appointed, year by year, to burn on the altar of the Lord our God, abas it is written in the Law. 35We obligate ourselves acto bring the firstfruits of our ground and the firstfruits of all fruit of every tree, year by year, to the house of the Lord; 36also to bring to the house of our God, to the priests who minister in the house of our God, the firstborn of our sons and of our cattle, adas it is written in the Law, and the firstborn of our herds and of our flocks; 37 aeand to bring the first of our dough, and our contributions, the fruit of every tree, the wine and the oil, to the priests, afto the chambers of the house of our God; and to bring to the Levites the tithes from our ground, for it is the Levites who collect the tithes in all our towns where we labor. 38And the priest, the son of Aaron, shall be with the Levites when the Levites receive the tithes. And the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes to the house of our God, to the chambers of agthe storehouse. 39For the people of Israel and the sons of Levi ahshall bring the contribution of grain, wine, and oil to the chambers, where the vessels of the sanctuary are, as well as the priests who minister, and the gatekeepers and the singers. aiWe will not neglect the house of our God.”
