Romans 2:16

16 bon that day when, caccording to my gospel, God judges dthe secrets of men eby Christ Jesus.

Romans 3:19-20

19Now we know that whatever fthe law says it speaks to those who are under the law, gso that every mouth may be stopped, and hthe whole world may be held accountable to God. 20For iby works of the law no human being
Greek flesh
will be justified in his sight, since kthrough the law comes knowledge of sin.

Romans 4:15

15For lthe law brings wrath, but mwhere there is no law nthere is no transgression.

Romans 7:7-11

The Law and Sin

7What then shall we say? That the law is sin? By no means! Yet if it had not been for the law, oI would not have known sin. For I would not have known what it is to covet if pthe law had not said, “You shall not covet.” 8But sin, qseizing an opportunity through the commandment, produced in me all kinds of covetousness. rFor apart from the law, sin lies dead. 9I was once alive apart from the law, but when the commandment came, sin came alive and I died. 10The very commandment sthat promised life proved to be death to me. 11For sin, tseizing an opportunity through the commandment, udeceived me and through it killed me.

Romans 8:3

3For vGod has done what the law, wweakened by the flesh, xcould not do. yBy sending his own Son zin the likeness of sinful flesh and aafor sin,
Or  and as a sin offering
he condemned sin in the flesh,

2 Corinthians 3:7-9

7Now if acthe ministry of death, carved in letters on stone, came with such glory adthat the Israelites could not gaze at Mosesface because of its glory, which was being brought to an end, 8will not the ministry of the Spirit have even more glory? 9For if there was glory in aethe ministry of condemnation, afthe ministry of righteousness must far exceed it in glory.

Galatians 2:16-19

16yet we know that aga person is not justified
Or counted righteous (three times in verse 16); also verse 17
by works of the law aibut through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, ajbecause by works of the law no one will be justified.

17But if, in our endeavor to be justified in Christ, we too were found akto be sinners, is Christ then a servant of sin? Certainly not! 18For if I rebuild what I tore down, I prove myself to be a transgressor. 19For through the law I aldied to the law, so that I might amlive to God.
