Deuteronomy 28:1-14

Blessings for Obedience

1“And aif you faithfully obey the voice of the Lord your God, being careful to do all his commandments that I command you today, the Lord your God will set you bhigh above all the nations of the earth. 2And all these blessings shall come upon you and covertake you, if you obey the voice of the Lord your God. 3Blessed shall you be in the city, and dblessed shall you be in the field. 4Blessed shall be ethe fruit of your womb and the fruit of your ground and the fruit of your cattle, the increase of your herds and the young of your flock. 5Blessed shall be your basket and your fkneading bowl. 6Blessed shall you be gwhen you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.

7“The Lord hwill cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before you. They shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways. 8The Lord iwill command the blessing on you in your barns and jin all that you undertake. kAnd he will bless you in the land that the Lord your God is giving you. 9 lThe Lord will establish you as a people holy to himself, as he has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the Lord your God and walk in his ways. 10And mall the peoples of the earth shall see that you are ncalled by the name of the Lord, and they shall be oafraid of you. 11And pthe Lord will make you abound in prosperity, in qthe fruit of your womb and in the fruit of your livestock and in the fruit of your ground, within the land that the Lord swore to your fathers to give you. 12The Lord will open to you his good treasury, the heavens, rto give the rain to your land in its season and sto bless all the work of your hands. And tyou shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. 13And the Lord will make you uthe head and not the tail, and you shall only go up and not down, if you obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, being careful to do them, 14 vand if you do not turn aside from any of the words that I command you today, to the right hand or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

1 Kings 2:3

3and keep the charge of the Lord your God, walking in his ways and keeping his statutes, his commandments, his rules, and his testimonies, as it is written in the Law of Moses, wthat you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn,

1 Kings 3:14

14And if you will walk in my ways, keeping my statutes and my commandments, xas your father David walked, then yI will lengthen your days.”

1 Kings 8:25

25Now therefore, O Lord, God of Israel, keep for your servant David my father what you have promised him, saying, z‘You shall not lack a man to sit before me on the throne of Israel, if only your sons pay close attention to their way, to walk before me as you have walked before me.’

1 Kings 9:4-9

4And as for you, if you will aawalk before me, abas David your father walked, with integrity of heart and uprightness, doing according to all that I have commanded you, and keeping my statutes and my rules, 5 acthen I will establish your royal throne over Israel forever, as I promised David your father, saying, ‘You shall not lack a man on the throne of Israel.’ 6 adBut if you turn aside from following me, you or your children, and do not keep my commandments and my statutes that I have set before you, but go and serve other gods and worship them, 7 aethen I will cut off Israel from the land that I have given them, afand the house that I have consecrated for my name I will cast out of my sight, agand Israel will become a proverb and a byword among all peoples. 8And this house will become a heap of ruins.

Everyone passing by it will be astonished and will hiss, and they will say, aiWhy has the Lord done thus to this land and to this house?’
9Then they will say, ‘Because ajthey abandoned the Lord their God who brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt and laid hold on other gods and worshiped them and served them. Therefore the Lord has brought all this disaster on them.’”

1 Kings 11:38

38And if you will listen to all that I command you, and will walk in my ways, and do what is right in my eyes by keeping my statutes and my commandments, as David my servant did, akI will be with you and alwill build you a sure house, as I built for David, and I will give Israel to you.

1 Chronicles 28:9

David’s Charge to Solomon

9“And you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father and serve him with a amwhole heart and with a willing mind, anfor the Lord searches all hearts and understands every plan and thought. aoIf you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever.

Zechariah 3:7

7Thus says the Lord of hosts: If you will walk in my ways and apkeep my charge, then you shall aqrule my house and have charge of my courts, and I will give you the right of access among arthose who are standing here.
