Deuteronomy 28:1-14

Blessings for Obedience

1“And aif you faithfully obey the voice of the Lord your God, being careful to do all his commandments that I command you today, the Lord your God will set you bhigh above all the nations of the earth. 2And all these blessings shall come upon you and covertake you, if you obey the voice of the Lord your God. 3Blessed shall you be in the city, and dblessed shall you be in the field. 4Blessed shall be ethe fruit of your womb and the fruit of your ground and the fruit of your cattle, the increase of your herds and the young of your flock. 5Blessed shall be your basket and your fkneading bowl. 6Blessed shall you be gwhen you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.

7“The Lord hwill cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before you. They shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways. 8The Lord iwill command the blessing on you in your barns and jin all that you undertake. kAnd he will bless you in the land that the Lord your God is giving you. 9 lThe Lord will establish you as a people holy to himself, as he has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the Lord your God and walk in his ways. 10And mall the peoples of the earth shall see that you are ncalled by the name of the Lord, and they shall be oafraid of you. 11And pthe Lord will make you abound in prosperity, in qthe fruit of your womb and in the fruit of your livestock and in the fruit of your ground, within the land that the Lord swore to your fathers to give you. 12The Lord will open to you his good treasury, the heavens, rto give the rain to your land in its season and sto bless all the work of your hands. And tyou shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. 13And the Lord will make you uthe head and not the tail, and you shall only go up and not down, if you obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, being careful to do them, 14 vand if you do not turn aside from any of the words that I command you today, to the right hand or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

Job 5:19-26

19He will wdeliver you from six troubles;
in seven no xevil
Or disaster
shall touch you.
20 zIn famine he will redeem you from death,
and in war from the power of the sword.
21You shall be aahidden from the lash of the tongue,
and shall not fear destruction when it comes.
22At destruction and famine you shall laugh,
and shall not fear abthe beasts of the earth.
23For you shall be in league with the stones of the field,
and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with you.
24You shall know that your actent is at peace,
and you shall inspect your fold and miss nothing.
25You shall know also that your adoffspring shall be many,
and your descendants as aethe grass of the earth.
26You shall come to your grave in afripe old age,
like a sheaf gathered up in its season.

Psalms 37:3-4

3 agTrust in the Lord, and do good;
ahdwell in the land and befriend faithfulness.
Or  and feed on faithfulness, or  and find safe pasture

4 ajDelight yourself in the Lord,
and he will akgive you the desires of your heart.

Psalms 37:16-19

16 alBetter is the little that the righteous has
than the abundance of many wicked.
17For amthe arms of the wicked shall be broken,
but the Lord anupholds the righteous.
18 The Lord aoknows the days of the blameless,
and their apheritage will remain forever;
19they are not put to shame in evil times;
in aqthe days of famine they have abundance.

Psalms 37:29

29The righteous shall inherit the land
and ardwell upon it forever.

Psalms 84:11

11For the Lord God is asa sun and atshield;
the Lord bestows favor and honor.
auNo good thing does he withhold
from those who avwalk uprightly.

Psalms 91:10-16

10 awno evil shall be allowed to befall you,
axno plague come near your tent.
11 ayFor he will command his azangels concerning you
to baguard you in all your ways.
12On their hands they will bear you up,
lest you bbstrike your foot against a stone.
13You will tread on bcthe lion and the bdadder;
the young lion and bethe serpent you will bftrample underfoot.
14 Because he bgholds fast to me in love, I will deliver him;
I will protect him, because he bhknows my name.
15When he bicalls to me, I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will rescue him and bjhonor him.
16With bklong life I will satisfy him
and blshow him my salvation.”
