Curses for Disobedience

15“But aif you will not obey the voice of the Lord your God or be careful to do all his commandments and his statutes that I command you today, then all these curses shall come upon you and bovertake you. 16Cursed shall you be cin the city, and cursed shall you be in the field. 17Cursed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. 18Cursed shall be the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your ground, the increase of your herds and the young of your flock. 19Cursed shall you be when you come in, and cursed shall you be when you go out.

20“The Lord dwill send on you curses, confusion, and efrustration in all that you undertake to do, funtil you are destroyed and perish quickly on account of the evil of your deeds, because you have forsaken me.

2 Chronicles 24:18

18And they abandoned the house of the Lord, the God of their fathers, and served gthe Asherim and the idols. And hwrath came upon Judah and Jerusalem for this guilt of theirs.

2 Chronicles 34:24-25

24Thus says the Lord, Behold, I will bring disaster upon this place and upon its inhabitants, all the curses that are written in the book that was read before the king of Judah. 25Because they have forsaken me and ihave made offerings to other gods, that they might provoke me to anger with all the works of their hands, therefore jmy wrath will be poured out on this place and will not be quenched.

2 Chronicles 36:14-16

14All the officers of the priests and the people likewise were exceedingly unfaithful, following all the abominations of the nations. And they polluted the house of the Lord that he had made holy in Jerusalem.

15The Lord, the God of their fathers, ksent persistently to them by his messengers, because he had compassion on his people and on his dwelling place. 16 lBut they kept mocking the messengers of God, mdespising his words and scoffing at his prophets, nuntil the wrath of the Lord rose against his people, until there was no remedy.
