Deuteronomy 28:20

20“The Lord awill send on you curses, confusion, and bfrustration in all that you undertake to do, cuntil you are destroyed and perish quickly on account of the evil of your deeds, because you have forsaken me.

Deuteronomy 31:16-18

16And the Lord said to Moses, dBehold, you are about to lie down with your fathers. Then this people will rise and ewhore after the foreign gods among them in the land that they are entering, and they will fforsake me and gbreak my covenant that I have made with them. 17Then my anger will be kindled against them in that day, and hI will forsake them and ihide my face from them, and they will be devoured. And many evils and troubles will come upon them, so that they will say in that day, j‘Have not these evils come upon us because kour God is not among us?’ 18And I will surely hide my face in that day because of all the evil that they have done, because lthey have turned to other gods.

Jeremiah 2:13

13for my people have committed two evils:
mthey have forsaken nme,
the fountain of oliving waters,
and hewed out cisterns for themselves,
broken cisterns that can hold no water.

Jeremiah 2:17

17 pHave you not brought this upon yourself
by forsaking the Lord your God,
when qhe led you in the way?

Jeremiah 2:19

19 rYour evil will chastise you,
and syour apostasy will reprove you.
Know and see that it is evil and tbitter
for uyou to forsake the Lord your God;
the fear of me is not in you,

declares the Lord God of hosts.

Jeremiah 2:34

34Also on your skirts is found
vthe lifeblood of the guiltless poor;
you did not find them wbreaking in.
Yet in spite of all these things

6 Therefore xa lion from the forest shall strike them down;
a ywolf from the desert shall devastate them.
zA leopard is watching their cities;
everyone who goes out of them shall be torn in pieces,
because their transgressions are many,
their aaapostasies are great.

so I have stretched out my hand against you and destroyed you—
adI am weary of relenting.

11then you shall say to them: aeBecause your fathers have forsaken me, declares the Lord, and afhave gone after other gods and have served and worshiped them, and have forsaken me and have not kept my law,

13O Lord, agthe hope of Israel,
ahall who forsake you shall be put to shame;
those who turn away from you

ajshall be written in the earth,
for akthey have forsaken althe Lord, the fountain of living water.
