Deuteronomy 28:33
33A nation that you have not known shall eat up the fruit of your ground and of all your labors, and you shall be only oppressed and crushed continually,Judges 6:3-6
3For whenever the Israelites planted crops, the Midianites and athe Amalekites and bthe people of the East would come up against them. 4They would encamp against them cand devour the produce of the land, as far as Gaza, and leave no sustenance in Israel and no sheep or ox or donkey. 5For they would come up with their livestock and their tents; they would come dlike locusts in number—both they and their camels could not be counted—so that they laid waste the land as they came in. 6And Israel was brought very low because of Midian. And the people of Israel ecried out for help to the Lord.2 Kings 13:3-7
3 fAnd the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel, and he gave them continually into the hand of gHazael king of Syria and into the hand of hBen-hadad the son of Hazael. 4Then Jehoahaz isought the favor of the Lord, and the Lord listened to him, jfor he saw the oppression of Israel, how the king of Syria oppressed them. 5(Therefore the Lord gave Israel ka savior, so that they escaped from the hand of the Syrians, and the people of Israel lived in ltheir homes as formerly. 6Nevertheless, they did not depart from the sins of the house of Jeroboam, mwhich he made Israel to sin, but walked ▼▼Septuagint, Syriac, Targum, Vulgate; Hebrew he walked
