Deuteronomy 28:47-48

47 aBecause you did not serve the Lord your God with joyfulness and gladness of heart, because of the abundance of all things, 48therefore you shall serve your enemies whom the Lord will send against you, in hunger and thirst, in nakedness, and lacking everything. And he bwill put a yoke of iron on your neck until he has destroyed you.

Joshua 16:10

1 Kings 9:21

That is, set apart ( devote) as an offering to the Lord (for destruction)
hthese Solomon drafted to be islaves, and so they are to this day.

Ezra 4:13

13Now be it known to the king that if this city is rebuilt and the walls finished, they will not pay jtribute, custom, or toll, and the royal revenue will be impaired.

Ezra 4:20

20And mighty kings have been over Jerusalem, kwho ruled over the whole province Beyond the River, to whom ltribute, custom, and toll were paid.

Nehemiah 9:37

37 mAnd its rich yield goes to the kings whom you have set over us because of our sins. They rule over our bodies and over our livestock as they please, and we are in great distress.
