48 therefore you shall serve your enemies whom the Lord will send against you, in hunger and thirst, in nakedness, and lacking everything. And he ^awill put a yoke of iron on your neck until he has destroyed you.

is taking away from Jerusalem and from Judah

Behold, I have never defiled myself. ^{▼▼Hebrew my soul (or throat) has never been made unclean} ^sFrom my youth up till now I have never eaten ^twhat died of itself or was torn by beasts, nor has ^utainted meat come into my mouth.” 15 Then he said to me, “See, I assign to you cow’s dung instead of human dung, on which you may prepare your bread.” 16 Moreover, he said to me, ^v“Son of man, behold, ^wI will break the supply ^{▼▼Hebrew staff} of bread in Jerusalem. They shall eat bread ^yby weight and with anxiety, and they shall drink water ^zby measure and in dismay. 17 I will do this that they may lack bread and water, and ^aalook at one another in dismay, and ^abrot away because of their punishment.
