Deuteronomy 28:49-53
49 aThe Lord will bring a nation against you from far away, from the end of the earth, bswooping down like the eagle, a nation cwhose language you do not understand, 50a hard-faced nation dwho shall not respect the old or show mercy to the young. 51It shall eeat the offspring of your cattle and the fruit of your ground, until you are destroyed; it also shall not leave you grain, wine, or oil, the increase of your herds or the young of your flock, until they have caused you to perish.52“They shall fbesiege you in all your towns, until your high and fortified walls, in which you trusted, come down throughout all your land. And they shall besiege you in all your towns throughout all your land, which the Lord your God has given you. 53And gyou shall eat the fruit of your womb, the flesh of your sons and daughters, whom the Lord your God has given you, hin the siege and in the distress with which your enemies shall distress you.
Jeremiah 4:16
16Warn the nations that he is coming;announce to Jerusalem,
“Besiegers come ifrom a distant land;
they shout against the cities of Judah.
Jeremiah 9:11
11 jI will make Jerusalem a heap of ruins,ka lair of jackals,
land I will make the cities of Judah a desolation,
without inhabitant.”
Jeremiah 33:10
10“Thus says the Lord: In this place mof which you say, ‘It is a waste without man or beast,’ in the cities of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem that are desolate, without man or inhabitant or beast, there shall be heard againJeremiah 34:22
22Behold, nI will command, declares the Lord, and will obring them back to this city. pAnd they will fight against it and take it and burn it with fire. qI will make the cities of Judah a desolation rwithout inhabitant.”Jeremiah 44:6
