Deuteronomy 28:54-56

54The man who is the most tender and refined among you will abegrudge food to his brother, to bthe wife he embraces,
Hebrew  the wife of his bosom
and to the last of the children whom he has left,
55so that he will not give to any of them any of the flesh of his children whom he is eating, because he has nothing else left, din the siege and in the distress with which your enemy shall distress you in all your towns. 56 eThe most tender and refined woman among you, who would not venture to set the sole of her foot on the ground because she is so delicate and tender, will begrudge to the husband she embraces,
Hebrew  the husband of her bosom
to her son and to her daughter,

Isaiah 3:16-26

16 The Lord said:
gBecause hthe daughters of Zion are haughty
and walk with outstretched necks,
glancing wantonly with their eyes,
mincing along as they go,
itinkling with their feet,
17therefore the Lord jwill strike with a scab
the heads of kthe daughters of Zion,
and the Lord will lay bare their secret parts.
18In that day the Lord will take away lthe finery of the anklets, the mheadbands, and the ncrescents; 19the pendants, the bracelets, and the scarves; 20the oheaddresses, the armlets, the sashes, the perfume boxes, and the amulets; 21the signet rings and pnose rings; 22the qfestal robes, the mantles, the cloaks, and the handbags; 23the mirrors, the linen garments, the turbans, and the veils.

24 Instead of rperfume there will be rottenness;
and instead of a sbelt, a rope;
and instead of twell-set hair, ubaldness;
and instead of a rich robe, a vskirt of sackcloth;
and wbranding instead of beauty.
25Your men shall fall by the sword
and your mighty men in battle.
26And xher gates shall lament and mourn;
empty, she shall ysit on the ground.

Isaiah 24:6-12

6Therefore za curse devours the earth,
and its inhabitants aasuffer for their guilt;
therefore the inhabitants of the earth are scorched,
and few men are left.
7 abThe wine mourns,
the vine languishes,
all the merry-hearted sigh.
8 acThe mirth of the tambourines is stilled,
the noise of the jubilant has ceased,
the mirth of the lyre is stilled.
9No more do they drink wine adwith singing;
strong drink is bitter to those who drink it.
10 aeThe wasted city is broken down;
afevery house is shut up so that none can enter.
11 agThere is an outcry in the streets for lack of wine;
ahall joy has grown dark;
the gladness of the earth is banished.
12Desolation is left in the city;
the gates are battered into ruins.

Isaiah 32:9-14

Complacent Women Warned of Disaster

9 aiRise up, you women ajwho are at ease, hear my voice;
you complacent daughters, give ear to my speech.
10In little more than a year
you will shudder, you complacent women;
for the grape harvest fails,
the fruit harvest will not come.
11Tremble, you women akwho are at ease,
shudder, you complacent ones;
alstrip, and make yourselves bare,
amand tie sackcloth around your waist.
12 anBeat your breasts for the pleasant fields,
for the fruitful vine,
13 aofor the soil of my people
growing up in thorns and briers,
apyes, for all the joyous houses
in the exultant city.
14For the palace is forsaken,
the populous city deserted;
the hill and the watchtower
will become dens forever,
aqa joy of wild donkeys,
a pasture of flocks;

Jeremiah 6:2-3

2The lovely and delicately bred I will destroy,
arthe daughter of Zion.
Or I have likened the daughter of Zion to the loveliest pasture

3 atShepherds with their flocks shall come against her;
authey shall pitch their tents around her;
they shall pasture, each in his place.

Amos 6:3-7

3 avO you who put far away the day of disaster
awand bring near the seat of violence?
4 “Woe to those axwho lie on aybeds of ivory
azand stretch themselves out on their couches,
and eat lambs from the flock
baand calves from the midst of the stall,
5 bbwho sing idle songs to the sound of the harp
and like David bcinvent for themselves instruments of music,
6 bdwho drink wine in bowls
and beanoint themselves with the finest oils,
but are not grieved over the ruin of Joseph!
7 bfTherefore they shall now be the first of those who go into exile,
and the revelry of those who stretch themselves out shall pass away.”
