Deuteronomy 29:2-4

2
Ch 29:1 in Hebrew
And Moses summoned all Israel and said to them: b“You have seen all that the Lord did before your eyes in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh and to all his servants and to all his land,
3the great ctrials that your eyes saw, the signs, and those great wonders. 4But to this day dthe Lord has not given you a heart to understand or eyes to see or ears to hear.

9And he said, “Go, and say to this people:

e“‘Keep on hearing,
Or Hear indeed
but do not understand;
keep on seeing,

Isaiah 42:18-20

Israel’s Failure to Hear and See

18 Hear, you deaf,
and look, you blind, that you may see!
19Who is blind but my servant,
or deaf as my messenger whom I send?
Who is blind as my dedicated one,
Or  as the one at peace with me

or blind as the servant of the Lord?
20 iHe sees many things, but does not observe them;
jhis ears are open, but he does not hear.

Isaiah 44:18-20

18They know not, nor do they discern, for he has shut their eyes, so that they cannot see, and their hearts, so that they cannot understand. 19No one considers, nor is there knowledge or discernment to say, “Half of it I burned in the fire; I also baked bread on its coals; I roasted meat and have eaten. And shall I make the rest of it an kabomination? Shall I fall down before a block of wood?” 20 lHe feeds on mashes; a deluded heart has led him astray, and he cannot deliver himself or say, “Is there not na lie in my right hand?”

Jeremiah 5:21

21Hear this, oO foolish and senseless people,
pwho have eyes, but see not,
who have ears, but hear not.

Ezekiel 12:2

2 qSon of man, you dwell in the midst of ra rebellious house, swho have eyes to see, but see not, who have ears to hear, but hear not, for they are ta rebellious house.

2 Corinthians 4:4-6

4In their case uthe god of this world vhas blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing wthe light of xthe gospel of the glory of Christ, ywho is the image of God. 5For what zwe proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with aaourselves as your servants
Greek bondservants
for Jesussake.
6For God, who said, ac“Let light shine out of darkness,” adhas shone in our hearts to give aethe light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
