Deuteronomy 29:21-22

21And the Lord will single him out from all the tribes of Israel for calamity, in accordance with all the curses of the covenant written in this Book of the Law. 22And the next generation, your children who rise up after you, and the foreigner who comes from a far land, awill say, when they see the afflictions of that land and the sicknesses with which the Lord has made it sick

1 Kings 9:7-9

7 bthen I will cut off Israel from the land that I have given them, cand the house that I have consecrated for my name I will cast out of my sight, dand Israel will become a proverb and a byword among all peoples. 8And this house will become a heap of ruins.

Everyone passing by it will be astonished and will hiss, and they will say, fWhy has the Lord done thus to this land and to this house?’

Jeremiah 18:16

16making their land ha horror,
a thing ito be hissed at forever.

Jeremiah 24:9

Jeremiah 25:9

9 rbehold, I will send for all the tribes of the north, declares the Lord, and for Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, smy servant, and I will bring them against this land and its inhabitants, and against all these surrounding nations. I will devote them to destruction, tand make them a horror, a hissing, and an everlasting desolation.

Jeremiah 26:6

6then I will make this house ulike Shiloh, and I will make this city va curse for all the nations of the earth.’”

Jeremiah 29:18

18I will pursue them with wsword, famine, and pestilence, xand will make them a horror to all the kingdoms of the earth, yto be a curse, a terror, a hissing, and a reproach among all the nations zwhere I have driven them,

Jeremiah 29:22

22 aaBecause of them abthis curse shall be used by all the exiles from Judah in Babylon: “The Lord make you like Zedekiah and Ahab, acwhom the king of Babylon roasted in the fire,”

Jeremiah 44:12

12I will take the remnant of Judah who have adset their faces to come to the land of Egypt to live, and they shall all be consumed. aeIn the land of Egypt they shall fall; by the sword and by famine afthey shall be consumed. agFrom the least to the greatest, they shall die by the sword and by famine, ahand they shall become an oath, a horror, aia curse, and a taunt.
