Deuteronomy 29:23

23the whole land burned out with brimstone and asalt, nothing sown and nothing growing, where no plant can sprout, ban overthrow like that of Sodom and Gomorrah, cAdmah, and Zeboiim, which the Lord overthrew in his anger and wrath

Isaiah 1:7-8

7 dYour country lies desolate;
your cities are burned with fire;
in your very presence
foreigners devour your land;
it is desolate, as overthrown by foreigners.
8And ethe daughter of Zion is left
like a fbooth in a vineyard,
like a lodge in a cucumber field,
like a besieged city.
