Deuteronomy 29:25

25Then people will say, ‘It is because they abandoned the covenant of the Lord, the God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them out of the land of Egypt,

Deuteronomy 31:16

16And the Lord said to Moses, aBehold, you are about to lie down with your fathers. Then this people will rise and bwhore after the foreign gods among them in the land that they are entering, and they will cforsake me and dbreak my covenant that I have made with them.

Judges 10:10

10And the people of Israel ecried out to the Lord, saying, “We have sinned against you, because fwe have forsaken our God and have served the Baals.”

Jeremiah 2:13

13for my people have committed two evils:

the fountain of iliving waters,
and hewed out cisterns for themselves,
broken cisterns that can hold no water.

17 jHave you not brought this upon yourself
by forsaking the Lord your God,

and myour apostasy will reprove you.
Know and see that it is evil and nbitter
