Deuteronomy 29:25-26

25Then people will say, ‘It is because they abandoned the covenant of the Lord, the God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them out of the land of Egypt, 26and went and served other gods and worshiped them, gods whom they had not known and whom he had not allotted to them.

David’s Charge to Solomon

9“And you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father and serve him with a awhole heart and with a willing mind, bfor the Lord searches all hearts and understands every plan and thought. cIf you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever.

2 Chronicles 15:2

2and he went out to meet Asa and said to him, “Hear me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin: dThe Lord is with you while you are with him. eIf you seek him, he will be found by you, fbut if you forsake him, he will forsake you.

Jeremiah 2:19
