Deuteronomy 29:4

4But to this day athe Lord has not given you a heart to understand or eyes to see or ears to hear.

Isaiah 6:9

9And he said, “Go, and say to this people:

b“‘Keep on hearing,
Or Hear indeed
but do not understand;
keep on seeing,
Or see indeed
but do not perceive.’

Isaiah 29:14

14therefore, behold, eI will again
do wonderful things with this people,
with wonder upon wonder;
and fthe wisdom of their wise men shall perish,
and the discernment of their discerning men shall be hidden.”

Isaiah 44:18

18They know not, nor do they discern, for he has shut their eyes, so that they cannot see, and their hearts, so that they cannot understand.

Jeremiah 5:21

21Hear this, gO foolish and senseless people,
hwho have eyes, but see not,
who have ears, but hear not.

Matthew 13:14-17

14Indeed, in their case the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled that says:

i“‘“You will indeed hear but never understand,
and you will indeed see but never perceive.”
15For this people’s heart has grown dull,
and with their ears jthey can barely hear,
and ktheir eyes they have closed,
lest they should see with their eyes
and hear with their ears
and lunderstand with their heart
and mturn, and I would heal them.’
16But nblessed are your eyes, for they see, and your ears, for they hear. 17 oFor truly, I say to you, pmany prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.

John 12:40

40 q“He has blinded their eyes
and rhardened their heart,
lest they see with their eyes,
and understand with their heart, and turn,
and I would heal them.”
