Deuteronomy 29:4

4But to this day athe Lord has not given you a heart to understand or eyes to see or ears to hear.

Isaiah 6:9-10

9And he said, “Go, and say to this people:

b“‘Keep on hearing,
Or Hear indeed
but do not understand;
keep on seeing,
Or see indeed
but do not perceive.’
10 eMake the heart of this people fdull,
Hebrew fat

and their ears heavy,
and blind their eyes;
hlest they see with their eyes,
and hear with their ears,
and understand with their hearts,
and turn and be healed.”

Isaiah 29:10

10 iFor the Lord has poured out upon you
a spirit of deep sleep,
and has closed your eyes (the prophets),
and covered your heads (the seers).

Matthew 13:14-15

14Indeed, in their case the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled that says:

j“‘“You will indeed hear but never understand,
and you will indeed see but never perceive.”
15For this people’s heart has grown dull,
and with their ears kthey can barely hear,
and ltheir eyes they have closed,
lest they should see with their eyes
and hear with their ears
and munderstand with their heart
and nturn, and I would heal them.’

Mark 4:11-12

11And he said to them, o“To you has been given pthe secret of the kingdom of God, but for qthose outside everything is in parables, 12 rso that

“'they smay indeed see but not perceive,
and may indeed hear but not understand,
lest they tshould turn and be forgiven.'”
