Deuteronomy 29:4

4But to this day athe Lord has not given you a heart to understand or eyes to see or ears to hear.

Isaiah 6:9-10

9And he said, “Go, and say to this people:

b“‘Keep on hearing,
Or Hear indeed
but do not understand;
keep on seeing,
Or see indeed
but do not perceive.’
10 eMake the heart of this people fdull,
Hebrew fat

and their ears heavy,
and blind their eyes;
hlest they see with their eyes,
and hear with their ears,
and understand with their hearts,
and turn and be healed.”

Isaiah 29:9-12

9 Astonish yourselves
Or Linger awhile
and be astonished;
blind yourselves and be blind!
Be drunk, but not with wine;
jstagger, but not with strong drink!
10 kFor the Lord has poured out upon you
a spirit of deep sleep,
and has closed your eyes (the prophets),
and covered your heads (the seers).
11And the vision of all this has become to you like the words of a book that is lsealed. When men give it to one who can read, saying, “Read this,” he says, “I cannot, for it is sealed.” 12And when they give the book to one who cannot read, saying, “Read this,” he says, “I cannot read.”

Isaiah 42:19-20

19Who is blind but my servant,
or deaf as my messenger whom I send?
Who is blind as my dedicated one,
Or  as the one at peace with me

or blind as the servant of the Lord?
20 nHe sees many things, but does not observe them;
ohis ears are open, but he does not hear.

Jeremiah 5:21

21Hear this, pO foolish and senseless people,
qwho have eyes, but see not,
who have ears, but hear not.

Matthew 13:13-14

13This is why I speak to them in parables, because rseeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, snor do they understand. 14Indeed, in their case the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled that says:

t“‘“You will indeed hear but never understand,
and you will indeed see but never perceive.”
