Deuteronomy 29:4

4 But to this day ^athe Lord has not given you a heart to understand or eyes to see or ears to hear.

Isaiah 6:9-10

9 And he said, “Go, and say to this people:

^b“‘Keep on hearing, ^{▼▼Or Hear indeed} but do not understand;
keep on seeing, ^{▼▼Or see indeed} but do not perceive.’
10 ^eMake the heart of this people ^fdull, ^{▼▼Hebrew fat}
and their ears heavy,
and blind their eyes;
^hlest they see with their eyes,
and hear with their ears,
and understand with their hearts,
and turn and be healed.”

Isaiah 29:9-12

blind yourselves and be blind!
Be drunk, but not with wine;

10 ^kFor the Lord has poured out upon you
a spirit of deep sleep,

Isaiah 42:19-20

19 Who is blind but my servant,
or deaf as my messenger whom I send?

Jeremiah 5:21

21 “Hear this, ^pO foolish and senseless people,

Matthew 13:13-14
