Deuteronomy 3:6

6And awe devoted them to destruction,
That is, set apart ( devoted) as an offering to the Lord (for destruction); twice in this verse
as we did to Sihon the king of Heshbon, devoting to destruction every ccity, men, women, and children.

Deuteronomy 7:2

2 dand when the Lord your God gives them over to you, and you defeat them, then you must edevote them to complete destruction.
That is, set apart ( devote) as an offering to the Lord (for destruction)
gYou shall make no covenant with them and show no mercy to them.

Joshua 6:17-18

17And the city and all that is within it shall be hdevoted to the Lord for destruction.
That is, set apart ( devoted) as an offering to the Lord (for destruction); also verses 18, 21
Only Rahab the prostitute and all who are with her in her house shall live, because she jhid the messengers whom we sent.

Joshua 6:21
