Deuteronomy 30:2-6

2and areturn to the Lord your God, you and your children, and obey his voice in all that I command you today, with all your heart and with all your soul, 3then the Lord your God bwill restore your fortunes and have mercy on you, and he will cgather you again from all the peoples where the Lord your God has scattered you. 4 dIf your outcasts are in the uttermost parts of heaven, from there the Lord your God will gather you, and from there he will take you. 5And the Lord your God will bring you into the land that your fathers possessed, that you may possess it. eAnd he will make you more prosperous and numerous than your fathers. 6And fthe Lord your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your offspring, gso that you will love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may live.

Jeremiah 29:12-14

12 hThen you will call upon me and come and pray to me, iand I will hear you. 13 jYou will seek me and find me, when you seek me kwith all your heart. 14I will be found by you, declares the Lord, land I will restore your fortunes and mgather you from all the nations and all the places nwhere I have driven you, declares the Lord, and I will bring you back to the place from which I sent you into exile.

Hosea 14:1-4

A Plea to Return to the Lord

1 oReturn, O Israel, to the Lord your God,
for pyou have stumbled because of your iniquity.
2Take with you words
and return to the Lord;
say to him,
Take away all iniquity;
accept qwhat is good,
and we will pay with bulls
rthe vows
Septuagint, Syriac  pay the fruit
of our lips.
3 tAssyria shall not save us;
uwe will not ride on horses;
and vwe will say no more, ‘Our God,’
to the work of our hands.
wIn you the orphan finds mercy.”
4 I xwill heal their apostasy;
yI will love them freely,
for my anger has turned from them.

Joel 2:12-13

Return to the Lord

12 “Yet even now,” declares the Lord,
zreturn to me with all your heart,
aawith fasting, with weeping, and with mourning;
13and abrend your hearts and not acyour garments.”
Return to the Lord your God,
adfor he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love;
aeand he relents over disaster.
