Deuteronomy 31:17
17Then my anger will be kindled against them in that day, and aI will forsake them and bhide my face from them, and they will be devoured. And many evils and troubles will come upon them, so that they will say in that day, c‘Have not these evils come upon us because dour God is not among us?’Judges 10:13-14
13Yet you have eforsaken me and served other gods; therefore I will save you no more. 14Go and cry out fto the gods whom you have chosen; let them save you in the time of your distress.”Jeremiah 2:27
27who say to a tree, ‘You are my father,’and to a stone, ‘You gave me birth.’
For they have turned their back to me,
and not their face.
But gin the time of their trouble they say,
‘Arise and save us!’
