Deuteronomy 31:17-18

And many evils and troubles will come upon them, so that they will say in that day, ^c‘Have not these evils come upon us because ^dour God is not among us?’ 18 And I will surely hide my face in that day because of all the evil that they have done, because ^ethey have turned to other gods.

Ezra 9:6

6 saying:

“O my God, I am ashamed and blush to lift my face to you, my God, for our iniquities ^fhave risen higher than our heads, and our ^gguilt has ^hmounted up to the heavens.

Jeremiah 2:17

17 ⁱHave you not brought this upon yourself
