Deuteronomy 32:15-26

15 “But aJeshurun grew fat, and bkicked;
cyou grew fat, stout, and sleek;
dthen he forsook God ewho made him
and scoffed at fthe Rock of his salvation.
16 gThey stirred him to jealousy with strange gods;
with abominations they provoked him to anger.
17 hThey sacrificed to demons that were no gods,
to gods they had never known,
to inew gods that had come recently,
whom your fathers had never dreaded.
18You were unmindful of jthe Rock that bore
Or fathered
you,
and you lforgot the God who gave you birth.
19 m“The Lord saw it and spurned them,
because of the provocation of nhis sons and his daughters.
20And he said, o‘I will hide my face from them;
I will see what their end will be,
for they are a perverse generation,
children in whom is no faithfulness.
21 pThey have made me jealous with what is no god;
they have provoked me to anger qwith their idols.
So rI will make them jealous with those who are no people;
I will provoke them to anger with sa foolish nation.
22For ta fire is kindled by my anger,
and it burns to uthe depths of Sheol,
devours the earth and its increase,
and sets on fire the foundations of the mountains.
23 “‘And I will heap disasters upon them;
vI will spend my arrows on them;
24they shall be wasted with hunger,
and devoured by plague
and poisonous pestilence;
I will send wthe teeth of beasts against them,
with the venom of xthings that crawl in the dust.
25 yOutdoors the sword shall bereave,
and indoors terror,
for young man and woman alike,
the nursing child with the man of gray hairs.
26 zI would have said, “I will cut them to pieces;
aaI will wipe them from human memory,”

Joshua 23:13

13know for certain that abthe Lord your God will no longer drive out these nations before you, acbut they shall be a snare and a trap for you, a whip on your sides and thorns in your eyes, until you perish from off this good ground that the Lord your God has given you.

Joshua 23:15

15But just as all the good things that the Lord your God promised concerning you have been fulfilled for you, so the Lord will bring upon you adall the evil things, until he has destroyed you from off this good land that the Lord your God has given you,

Daniel 9:11-14

11 aeAll Israel has transgressed your law and turned aside, afrefusing to obey your voice. agAnd the curse and oath ahthat are written in the Law of aiMoses the servant of God have been poured out upon us, because ajwe have sinned against him. 12He has confirmed his words, which he spoke against us and against akour rulers who ruled us,
Or  our judges who judged us
by ambringing upon us a great calamity. anFor under the whole heaven there has not been done anything like what has been done against Jerusalem.
13 aoAs it is written in the Law of Moses, all this calamity has come upon us; yet we have not entreated the favor of the Lord our God, apturning from our iniquities and gaining insight by your truth. 14 aqTherefore the Lord has kept ready the calamity and has brought it upon us, arfor the Lord our God is righteous in all the works that he has done, and aswe have not obeyed his voice.
