Deuteronomy 32:16-19

16 aThey stirred him to jealousy with strange gods;
with abominations they provoked him to anger.
17 bThey sacrificed to demons that were no gods,
to gods they had never known,
to cnew gods that had come recently,
whom your fathers had never dreaded.
18You were unmindful of dthe Rock that bore
Or fathered
you,
and you fforgot the God who gave you birth.
19 g“The Lord saw it and spurned them,
because of the provocation of hhis sons and his daughters.

Deuteronomy 32:21

21 iThey have made me jealous with what is no god;
they have provoked me to anger jwith their idols.
So kI will make them jealous with those who are no people;
I will provoke them to anger with la foolish nation.

2 Kings 17:14-17

2 Kings 22:17

17 aaBecause they have forsaken me and have made offerings to other gods, that they might provoke me to anger with all the work of their hands, therefore abmy wrath will be kindled against this place, and it will not be quenched.
