Deuteronomy 32:16-21

16 aThey stirred him to jealousy with strange gods;
with abominations they provoked him to anger.
17 bThey sacrificed to demons that were no gods,
to gods they had never known,
to cnew gods that had come recently,
whom your fathers had never dreaded.
18You were unmindful of dthe Rock that bore
Or fathered
you,
and you fforgot the God who gave you birth.
19 g“The Lord saw it and spurned them,
because of the provocation of hhis sons and his daughters.
20And he said, i‘I will hide my face from them;
I will see what their end will be,
for they are a perverse generation,
children in whom is no faithfulness.
21 jThey have made me jealous with what is no god;
they have provoked me to anger kwith their idols.
So lI will make them jealous with those who are no people;
I will provoke them to anger with ma foolish nation.

Isaiah 1:4

4 Ah, sinful nation,
a people laden with iniquity,
noffspring of evildoers,
children who deal corruptly!
They have forsaken the Lord,
they have odespised pthe Holy One of Israel,
they are utterly qestranged.

Jeremiah 8:5-6

5Why then has this people rturned away
in perpetual sbacksliding?
tThey hold fast to deceit;
they refuse to return.
6 uI have paid attention and listened,
but they have not spoken rightly;
no man relents of his evil,
saying, ‘What have I done?’
Everyone turns to his own course,
vlike a horse plunging headlong into battle.
