Deuteronomy 32:17-18

17 aThey sacrificed to demons that were no gods,
to gods they had never known,
to bnew gods that had come recently,
whom your fathers had never dreaded.
18You were unmindful of cthe Rock that bore

and you eforgot the God who gave you birth.

the firstfruits of their strength in the tents of xHam.
