Deuteronomy 32:25

25 aOutdoors the sword shall bereave,
and indoors terror,

Jeremiah 9:21-22

21For death has come up into our windows;
it has entered our palaces,
bcutting off the children from the streets
and the young men from the squares.
22Speak: “Thus declares the Lord,
c‘The dead bodies of men shall fall
like dung upon the open field,
dlike sheaves after the reaper,
and none shall gather them.’”

Jeremiah 14:18

18 eIf I go out into the field,
behold, those pierced by the sword!
fAnd if I enter the city,
behold, the diseases of famine!
gFor both prophet and priest ply their trade through the land
and have no knowledge.’”

Lamentations 4:9-10

9 Happier were the victims of the sword
than the victims of hunger,
who wasted away, pierced
by lack of the fruits of the field.
10 hThe hands of icompassionate women
jhave boiled their own children;
kthey became their food
during the destruction of the daughter of my people.

Ezekiel 7:15

15 lThe sword is without; pestilence and famine are within. mHe who is in the field dies by the sword, nand him who is in the city famine and pestilence devour.
