My Soul Thirsts for You

A Psalm of David, bwhen he was in the wilderness of Judah.

as in ea dry and weary land where there is no water.

Psalms 144:12-15

12 May our sons in their youth
be like fplants full grown,
our daughters like gcorner pillars
cut for the structure of a palace;
13 hmay our granaries be full,
iproviding all kinds of produce;
may our sheep bring forth thousands
and ten thousands in our fields;
14may our cattle be heavy with young,
suffering no mishap or failure in bearing;
Hebrew with no breaking in or going out

may there be no kcry of distress in our streets!
15 lBlessed are the people to whom such blessings fall!
mBlessed are the people whose God is the Lord!

Isaiah 40:30

and young men shall fall exhausted;

Isaiah 41:17-20

17 nWhen the poor and needy seek water,
and there is none,
and their tongue is parched with thirst,
I the Lord will answer them;
I the God of Israel will not forsake them.
18 oI will open rivers on the bare heights,
and fountains in the midst of the valleys.
pI will make the wilderness a pool of water,
and the dry land springs of water.
19 qI will put in the wilderness the cedar,
the acacia, the myrtle, and the olive.
I will set in the desert rthe cypress,
the plane and the pine together,
20that they may see and know,
may consider and understand together,
that sthe hand of the Lord has done this,
the Holy One of Israel has created it.

Jeremiah 48:18

18 t“Come down from your glory,
and sit on the parched ground,
O inhabitant of uDibon!
For the destroyer of Moab has come up against you;
he has destroyed your strongholds.
