Deuteronomy 32:34-35

34 “‘Is not this laid up in store with me,
asealed up in my treasuries?
35 bVengeance is mine, and recompense,

dfor the time when their foot shall slip;
for ethe day of their calamity is at hand,
and their doom comes swiftly.’

41if I fsharpen my flashing sword

and my hand takes hold on judgment,
I will take vengeance on my adversaries
and will repay those who hate me.
42I will make my arrows drunk with blood,
and hmy sword shall devour flesh
with the blood of the slain and the captives,

God’s Steadfast Love and Compassion

18 sWho is a God like you, tpardoning iniquity
and passing over transgression

Romans 2:5-6
