Deuteronomy 32:37-38

37Then he will say, aWhere are their gods,
bthe rock in which they took refuge,
38who ate the fat of their sacrifices
and drank the wine of their drink offering?
Let them rise up and help you;
let them be your protection!

Isaiah 65:11

Jeremiah 7:18

18The children gather wood, the fathers kindle fire, gand the women knead dough, to hmake cakes for ithe queen of heaven. And jthey pour out drink offerings to other gods, kto provoke me to anger.

Jeremiah 19:13

13The houses of Jerusalem and the houses of the kings of Judahlall the houses on whose mroofs offerings have been offered nto all the host of heaven, and odrink offerings have been poured out to other gods—shall be defiled plike the place of Topheth.’”

Jeremiah 32:29

29The Chaldeans who are fighting against this city qshall come and set this city on fire and burn it, rwith the houses on whose roofs offerings have been made to Baal sand drink offerings have been poured out to other gods, tto provoke me to anger.

Jeremiah 44:17-25

17 uBut we will do everything that we have vowed, make offerings to vthe queen of heaven wand pour out drink offerings to her, xas we did, both we and our fathers, our kings and our officials, in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. For then we had plenty of food, and prospered, and saw no disaster. 18But since we left off making offerings to ythe queen of heaven and pouring out drink offerings to her, we have lacked everything zand have been consumed by the sword and by famine.” 19And the women said,

When we made offerings to the queen of heaven aband poured out drink offerings to her, was it acwithout our husbands’ approval that we made cakes for her bearing her image and poured out drink offerings to her?”

20Then Jeremiah said to all the people, admen and women, all the people who had given him this answer: 21 ae“As for the offerings that you offered in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem, you and your fathers, your kings and your officials, and the people of the land, afdid not the Lord remember them? Did it not come into his mind? 22 agThe Lord could no longer bear your evil deeds and ahthe abominations that you committed. aiTherefore your land has become aja desolation and a waste and a curse, akwithout inhabitant, as it is this day. 23It is because you made offerings aland because you sinned against the Lord and did not obey the voice of the Lord or walk in his law and in his statutes and in his testimonies amthat this disaster has happened to you, as at this day.”

24Jeremiah said to all the people and all the women, “Hear the word of the Lord, anall you of Judah who are in the land of Egypt. 25Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: aoYou and your wives have declared with your mouths, and have fulfilled it with your hands, saying, ‘We will surely perform our vows that we have made, apto make offerings to the queen of heaven and to pour out drink offerings to her.’ Then confirm your vows and perform your vows!
