Deuteronomy 32:6

6Do you thus repay the Lord,
you foolish and senseless people?
Is not he ayour father, who bcreated you,
who cmade you and established you?

Isaiah 1:2-4

The Wickedness of Judah

2 dHear, O heavens, and give ear, O eearth;
for the Lord has spoken:
Children
Or Sons; also verse 4
ghave I reared and brought up,
but they have rebelled against me.
3The ox hknows its owner,
and the donkey its master’s crib,
but Israel does inot know,
my people do not understand.”
4 Ah, sinful nation,
a people laden with iniquity,
joffspring of evildoers,
children who deal corruptly!
They have forsaken the Lord,
they have kdespised lthe Holy One of Israel,
they are utterly mestranged.

Isaiah 1:21-23

The Unfaithful City

21 How the faithful city
nhas become a whore,
Or  become unchaste

pshe who was full of justice!
Righteousness lodged in her,
but now murderers.
22 qYour silver has become dross,
your best wine mixed with water.
23Your princes are rebels
and companions of thieves.
Everyone rloves a bribe
and runs after gifts.
sThey do not bring justice to the fatherless,
and the widow’s cause does not come to them.

Isaiah 5:7

7 tFor the vineyard of the Lord of hosts
is the house of Israel,
and the men of Judah
are his pleasant planting;
and he looked for justice,
but behold, bloodshed;
The Hebrew words for  justice and  bloodshed sound alike

for righteousness,
but behold, an outcry!
The Hebrew words for  righteous and  outcry sound alike

Luke 20:10-18

10When the time came, he sent a servant
Greek bondservant; also verse 11
to the tenants, so that adthey would give him some of the fruit of the vineyard. aeBut the tenants beat him and sent him away empty-handed.
11 afAnd aghe sent another servant. But they also beat and ahtreated him shamefully, and sent him away empty-handed. 12 aiAnd he sent yet a third. This one also they wounded and cast out. 13Then the owner of the vineyard said, ‘What shall I do? I will send my ajbeloved son; perhaps they will respect him.’ 14But when the tenants saw him, they said to themselves, akThis is the heir. alLet us kill him, so that the inheritance may be ours.’ 15And they amthrew him out of the vineyard and killed him. What then will the owner of the vineyard do to them? 16 anHe will aocome and destroy those tenants and apgive the vineyard to others.” When they heard this, they said, “Surely not!” 17But he aqlooked directly at them and said, What then is this that is written:

ar“‘The stone that the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone’?
Greek  the head of the corner

18 atEveryone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces, and when it falls auon anyone, it will crush him.”
