6 Do you thus repay the Lord,
you foolish and senseless people?
Is not he ^ayour father, who ^bcreated you,
who ^cmade you and established you?

5 Thus says the Lord:

^d“What wrong did your fathers find in me
that they went far from me,
^eand went after ^fworthlessness, and became worthless?

3 “O my people, ^gwhat have I done to you?
^hHow have I wearied you? Answer me!
