The Way of the Righteous and the Wicked

1 Blessed is the man
The singular Hebrew word for  man (ish) is used here to portray a representative example of a godly person; see Preface

who ewalks not in fthe counsel of the wicked,
nor stands in gthe way of sinners,
nor hsits in ithe seat of jscoffers;
2but his kdelight is in the law
Or instruction
of the Lord,
and on his mlaw he meditates day and night.
3 He is like na tree
planted by ostreams of water
that yields its fruit in its season,
and its pleaf does not wither.
qIn all that he does, he prospers.

Romans 4:9
